Sri Padaya

As I said in previous article, this is the Sri Padaya which is known as Adam's Peak too.This is very valuable for the Buddhists as this is the place of where sacred footprint of Lord Buddha is situated.

Sri Pada is first mentioned (as `Samanthakuta') in the Deepawamsa,[citation needed] the earliest Pali chronicle, (4th century), and also in the 5th century chronicle Mahawamsa, where it is stated that the Buddha visited the mountain peak. The chronicle Rajavaliya states that the King Valagamba (1st century BCE) had taken refuge in the forests of Adam's Peak against invaders from India, and later returned to Anuradhapura. The Mahawamsa again mentions the visit of King Vijayabahu I (1058–1114) to the mountain. The famous Chinese pilgrim and Buddhist traveler Fa Hien stayed in Sri Lanka in 411–12 CE and mentions Sri Pada although it is not made clear whether he actually visited it. (copied from Wikipedia)

Sinharaja Rain Forest

Sri Lanka is a paradise for tourists.And also Sinharaja Rain Forest is a world heritage named by UNESCO.This amazing god given gift is situated in Sabaragamuwa district, Sri Lanka. And this is fulfill with various kinds of flowers,trees,birds and animals too.This amazing forest covers the area about 88.64 KM². And it is very close to Sri Padaya too. This forest is a very value source for the people who live around this. Because they use the water from this amazing nature's gift,Some peoples make  jaggery, and vinegar using sources of this forest. However this will be great place to all the travelers all around the world.

Sigiriya (also called Sinhagiriya) is an ancient rock situated between the towns of Dambulla & Habarana in Sri Lanka. Sigirya is a great and huge paradise for the foreigners who visit Sri Lanka for vacations. There is a long history for this amazing rock and king Kashyapa was the founder of this kingdom.

Sigiriya is a world heritage named by UNESCO. Sigiriya is very famous for the water gardens situated there.That is an amazing technology used before many years ago. The technology used in Sigirya is a miracle technology for today too.

There is a long historical background fro this amazing rock. You can see these amazing artworks done before many years ago. There are many interesting stories behind these artworks and also with every part of this amazing rock. It is better to visit this place and get this amazing and mind blowing experience.And it is something like adventure too.
